Very pleased with 1.6V rechargables March 9, 2010 sawyer2 My Garmin and Magellan handheld gps devices drop out quickly on NiMH 1.25V rechargables. I ordered these 1.6V NiZN batteries and charger. I am very happy so far with the results. I put them in my gps units and Canon camera. They all are designed for the 1.5V alkaline voltage.
Preliminary reviews are Awesome! February 26, 2010 James E. Clarke I purchased 3 sets and compared them out of the package uncharged to Duracell and Energizer alkaline straight from package. Here are the results!
Recharge time 1/1 power, 5 shot average. 3 new sets of 4 batteries of each type were used to obtain average.
Flash: Nikon SB-24 Nikon SB-25 Vivitar 285 (non-HV)
Duracell 10.2 secs 10.9 secs 11.5 secs
Energizer 10.1 secs 11.0 secs 11.9 secs
POWERGENIX 2.2 secs 2.3 secs 3.3 secs
Obviously flash recharge times are far faster, I will be further testing the batteries tomorrow shooting the state swim championships. Check back for another review then.
Best AA Rechargeables So Far February 18, 2010 L. H. Pearson (Union Mills, N.C.. United States) The PowerGenix AA rechargeables are my third attempt to find AA rechargeables that are close in performance to alkaline AA's. I've been using the PowerGenix batteries for over two months in a wireless indoor/outdoor thermometer and in our Wii game system and have only recharged them once during that time. One set has continued to perform in a colder-than-normal winter with morning temperatures in the teens, while the batteries in the Wii system have had periods of heavy use alternating with periods of disuse. So far, so good. I have not tried using the batteries in my digital camera because of the stated higher 1.6 voltage, but I plan so to do eventually. I plan to wait and see how the batteries perform after six months or so before buying additional batteries of the same type. At this point, I would buy these batteries and charger again and recommend them to friends and family.
Great for my flash February 18, 2010 P. Huang I brought this battery for the use of my flash photography.
Before I brought it, i was worry about the high voltage can damage my flash unite.
But after the review in engadget, i decide to go for it.
the recycle time is definely improve, I havn't drain the battery yet so can't test how long it last.
But I use canon ex580ii at 1/1 power and recycle time is just a second.
I plan to buy more of thoes battery and replace all of my Ni-Mh battery
The Best One February 16, 2010 Rhome Dsella For this time
this is the best battery i ever had
thank Powergenix
